Well, Jg and the posse have been hard at it—10-hour days for Jg! Kathy is still on light duty with her knee, but she’s getting better. She’s been keeping Jg fueled with drinks, snacks, and meals, which really helps keep him going.
As for me, Jg is finally getting my interior living quarters built! He finished the bed frame platform and installed a 50-gallon water tank underneath it. He also got the bathroom wall started and prepped the corner where the tiny Vintage Tabletop Clay Pottery Adobe Chiminea will live.
He designed the layout for the AC and DC electrical systems, including the AC breaker box. For the DC fuse and connection box, he’s getting creative—he’s using an old, tiny Coca-Cola fridge door as the cover for the control panel!
Anyway, it’s a well-deserved day off for the posse today. See you next week! From sun up to sundown, Jg at work can be found.
Well, Jg and the posse have been work, work, working! Kathy is doing better with her knee; she can walk, just not a lot, as it’s still healing. Jg got a good bit done, but he was too tired to give me the details or photos, so there isn’t much for me to write. I will see you next week. Keep your eyes open and your mind on, or you will be withdrawn.
PP here! It’s been a long week. JG has been pulling double duty because one of the posse, Kathy Rose, has been out of commission since last Wednesday. Her left knee had been bothering her a bit like it has in the past, but this time it didn’t improve with rest. By Thursday, she couldn’t even walk on it. After seeing the best doctors in our life dr Eric and a trip to er to get xrays and ultrasound it was back to dr Eric Friday morning. The problem was found, the left ankle was out of line jammed up causing the small bone in the leg has the knee jammed to one side causing the pain. So a couple days of therapy, exercises ice and Epsom salt soaks she can now put weight on it and even stand with out crutches. So after another visit to dr Eric Monday and more therapy she maybe back to light duty Tuesday. After taking over Kathy Rose’s chores—like changing the DryFlush toilet, swapping the three “Chihuahua babies’” potty pads, cleaning the floors, and taking the trash to the curb (and washing her hands thoroughly afterward—very important for someone with OCD like JG!)—its time to cook breakfast. JG’s favorite is eggs, sausage, and cheese on tortillas. Then, it’s time to eat and walk the babies. Usually, JG walks Tippy and Louie while Kathy Rose walks little Raz. On a normal Monday, they share the cleaning and laundry before heading to the shop to work on me, PP the van. Kathy Rose usually handles most of the cooking while JG continues to work on the build, manages the books, orders parts, and tracks the budget to keep me on schedule. It’s been a doubly rough week for Mr. JG. On top of everything else, he’s battling dust and pollen, and his right hip, left knee, and right shoulder blade are all acting up. Despite it all, JG managed to get some work done on me. I’ll give you an update on where my build stands next week!
Up or down, forward is always the best way to get there. Keep keeping forwarding.
Well, another productive week with some great weather! Jg got my front end looking much better; the bumper is back on, and there’s now a box inside for the jack and equipment needed to change my tires or jack me up.
As always, Jg has been busy updating the website. He added a new footer featuring photos of the Ppt Posse and links to their bios. He updated the bios slightly and plans to add even more info on each Posse member soon.
In a major technical win, Jg finally got the subdomains officially moved from Squarespace to Bluehost—that was a massive time-sink! He usually tackles these tasks in the early mornings or late at night. On the mechanical side, most of the work is wrapped up, and the interior build has officially started.
Until next week, Pp me! The van says, “Warm it up and just go for it!”
SamAi editors notes”That sounds like a wild weather transition! Going from a sunny picnic to a winter wonderland in 24 hours is quite the shift. Here is a polished version of your post that cleans up the spelling and grammar while keeping your unique “PPT Posse” voice intact:“
From Sunny 70s to Snowy 30s: What a Difference a Day Makes!
They gave me “PP” a bath on Sunday, March 15th, before my trip taking the PPT Posse to the park with Aunt Debbie and Joey. It was such a beautiful, sunny day! The posse had fried chicken, taters, and mac and cheese in the new dog park in Albertville, Alabama—Barkville Park. I had marathon, good old unleaded gasoline,” just the way I like it. Then today, Monday, March 16th, 2026, it’s a winter wonderland! The cold and snow just came all at once. It’s looking like better building weather tomorrow, so JG and the posse will be back hard at it!

Let me know what you think of my singing and Jg’s writing!
The lyrics:
I’m JG a traveling man, drive a purple van With Kathy Rose, my 3 Chihuahuas. If I have my way, it’s gonna stay that way Because staying in one place i lose my sanity And a traveling man is what I’ll always be.
It’s been a fantastic week. The big news? My power plant is officially hooked up to the solar panels! It feels great watching those batteries charge up directly from the sun—true energy independence at last. We also have a brand new family member in the Ppt Posse! Raz Artis Our new pup, Raz joined the crew this week and is already loving the van life as much as we are. The setup is running smoothly, the sun is shining, and the posse is growing. Life is good! “Step by step we build. We may stumble, we may fall; spring is almost here, so spring back up and step on!” Pp the van, and the Purple Passion Travels Posse
Welcome to the family, Raz! That is such a touching story—it sounds like she found exactly where she was meant to be. It’s a beautiful coincidence (or maybe just fate) about the Locust Fork connection. Here is a polished version of your announcement, keeping your warm tone while cleaning up the grammar and flow:
A New Heartbeat in the Posse
The Ppt Posse would like to officially welcome our newest member: Raz!
Raz is a 6-year-old “classic” teacup Apple Head Chihuahua. She’s tiny, but she’s already filled up a lot of space in our hearts.
Raz’s Journey
Just a few weeks ago, Raz was living happily with her human mom. Sadly, her mom fell ill, was admitted to the hospital, and never made it back home. It was a heartbreaking time for little Raz. Her human niece, Sarah, took her in but realized she wasn’t in a position to give Raz the full-time care she deserves.
Sarah knew exactly who to turn to—folks who would provide a loving, forever home on the road.
A Meant-To-Be Moment
While Jg and Kathy Rose were busy working on me (the van!), we heard a voice hollering, “Hello, hello!” It was Sarah, our landlord’s daughter, walking up with Raz cradled in her arms. She looked at the crew and said, “I know you want this little girl.” It was love at first sight.
A Strange Bit of Fate
Here’s the kicker: The Ppt Posse just took a day trip to Locust Fork, Alabama last Sunday. When we checked Raz’s vet tags, guess where she’s from? Locust Fork, Alabama. Talk about a small world! It feels like she was meant to find us all along.
“Sugar was Raz’s twin—our Chihuahua who passed away almost two years ago. Raz looks just like a miniature version of Sugar.”
The New Lineup
Since she’s so tiny, she won’t add much weight for me to carry, which keeps my tires happy. Even when life feels like it’s reaching the end of the road, there is always a new “posse” out there ready to love you and accept you exactly as you are.
